Top 10 Golf Betting Apps

One of the things that’s jumped out at us when we’ve been testing these apps is just how well the sport is covered across the board. We’ve included our best 5 golf betting apps in mini reviews later on. But any of these ten apps could be number one, they are that good.

For example, if you’re looking for the best golf coverage, then this is without doubt Bovada. But, if you’re looking for the best possible odds as often as you can, then BetOnline is going to be a better alternative.

Here are our top ten golf betting apps:

  1. BetOnline – Best for odds and includes a really strong range of tournaments to choose from
  2. Bovada – Fantastic range of golf markets to choose from, coverage of LPGA Tour is best
  3. Everygame– Great coverage of the main tours.
  4. MyBookie – A strong pricing structure means ideal for parlay bets.
  5. BetNow– Excels when it comes to golf futures and has a strong pricing section.
  6. BetUS – Huge welcome offer of 125% match worth up to $2,500.
  7. Xbet – Decent range of events covered and comes with a decent welcome package
  8. BUSR – Great range of golf betting markets and coverage from main and lower tours.
  9. Jazz Sports– Great looking golf betting app and includes a massive range of betting options.
  10. Sportsbetting.ag – Best for parlay and specials bets and live betting options.

Best Golf Betting App Reviews

We’re now going to take a look at how each of these apps works and how they link back to golf. Our mini-reviews below will tell you what we think is good and not so good with each app.

1. BetOnline – Best for Golf Betting Odds

betonline - best golf betting apps

Taking up the number 1 spot on our list is BetOnline. Pricing is the biggest draw for BetOnline, and this is why most of you will choose this as you’re number one golf betting app. One of the biggest compliments that we can pay them is that they are incredibly consistent and rarely were they not the best or tied for the best price.

It’s sometimes difficult to compare pricing with golf given that you can have a field of over 150 in some tournaments meaning huge ranges in odds. But again, BetOnline was not just best priced for the guy’s up top, but also the midfield and a little more randomly, the long shots.

BetOnline isn’t simply all about the pricing though. They have a really good golf betting app and they’re able to offer a huge range of tournaments and then markets. PGA Tour and European Tour are the main ones, but they do include the majors and some of the biggest team events.

They can’t compare to Jazz though and an area we would like to see improved is coverage outside of these main events. Betting markets within the tournaments is another strong positive, with a ton of group betting and specials to choose from.

The futures section is well stocked, and you get access to major bets as soon as the previous one has been completed for the following year. They are one of the quickest to get these live, so that’s impressive.

Overall, BetOnline easily is our number one pick. But it still lacks a little in terms of coverage and it’s not as nice an app to use as Jazz.

What we like:

  • Best odds in pricing comparison
  • Well-functioning mobile support
  • Futures section is stacked for golf
  • Best golf betting app

What we don’t:

  • Lacks a bit of coverage

2. Bovada – Modern Golf Betting App

Golf Betting Apps - Get Over $5000 at the Best Golf Betting Apps

Bovada is one of the best-known brands on our list and to be honest, they could have been anywhere in the top 5 and few would argue. Their golf betting coverage is excellent, and this is one of the best apps that we’ve tested.

The first thing to note is the design of the app. Bovada is famed for its clean looks and usability, with the app being no different. The white background, black/blue text, and splashes of red, along with a breadcrumb-style navigation bar were a treat to use.

They cover a good range of events based all over the world. They are the best when it comes to the women’s game, including events on the LPGA and Ladies European Tour, becoming the only app to offer consistent coverage of both.

Bovada includes a good range of specials, matchups, exotics, parlays, and futures throughout the site. Pricing is strong and there weren’t that many anomalies that we came across in this regard.

It’s a common theme for Bovada and whilst they are close, they seem to keep getting pipped at the post. Nevertheless, an excellent golf betting app and one we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending downloading.

What we like:

  • Well established operator
  • Great golf app
  • Amazing range of specials and exotics
  • Nice opportunities for US golf bettors

What we don’t:

  • Pricing could be better

3. Great Coverage of Main Tours

Golf Betting Apps - Get Over $5000 at the Best Golf Betting Apps

Everygame is one of the most experienced sportsbooks on our list of best golf betting apps as it’s been operating for almost 30 years. Although it’s been around a long time, it always keeps itself up to date with betting trends and has a stylish-looking and easy-to-use app.

Golf betting lines and golf coverage on Everygame may not be as wide as some of the other sites, such as Bovada. However, they cover the PGA Tour and major events like the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup. When they do have coverage of an event, then the odds you will find, particularly for the favorites, are amongst the best.

Both the desktop site and the mobile-optimized page are well-designed and make browsing markets and placing bets a breeze. Furthermore, there are great features available, the hottest bets feature that showcases the most popular current bets, and the bet booster which suggests bets you can use to boost your odds if building parlays.

New customers can get a tasty welcome bonus worth up to $750 using the Everygame promo code. Once you are signed up customers are also offered regular bonuses and promotions such as free bets, refer-a-friend bonuses, and free-to-enter competitions.

What we like:

  • Helpful features to build parlays
  • Great live betting
  • User-friendly app
  • Good coverage of major tours and events

What we don’t:

  • No coverage of LPGA

4. MyBookie: Best Golf Betting App for Specials

Golf Betting Apps - Get Over $5000 at the Best Golf Betting Apps

MyBookie is yet another golf betting app that could have been anywhere on the list, if only for a couple of tweaks. The app is one of the best that you can get your hands on right now and we’ve loved our time testing it.

Coverage is about as good as you’re going to find, and we loved that they were willing to dip their toes in tournaments hosted all over the world. We just so happen to be writing this review as the Olympics are taking place and even though not a sport you would initially see on a lot of betting apps, the golf coverage with MyBookie is exceptional. It’s as good as you would see from any PGA Tour event, which is high praise indeed.

They also take a lot of their outright winner markets live, which is a nice addition and not something that a lot of the other apps have. When you’re betting on golf, live betting is often a strong tool to be able to access, so this was impressive.

Pricing was an area that is a little hit or miss. We tested some events that were priced competitively, then others seem to fall away. Longer-priced players for the outright winner market were quite sporadic as well, but it was more consistent the shorter they got at a price based on the quality of the player.

One of the few negatives that we had was the design of the app. It’s a little cluttered and not as easy to use as some of the other golf betting apps. The desktop site is the same, which needs addressing for them to move upwards.

What we like:

  • Good available golf promotions
  • Odds for winner more on point than competitors
  • Great coverage of international tournaments
  • All events from PGA Tour covered

What we don’t:

  • The app is a bit cluttery from user’s perspective

5. BetNow – Solid Choice for Golf Betting Across All Markets

BetNow - Golf betting

After starting out in 2015, BetNow has become one of the strongest competitors in the betting market. They initially focused mainly on the US market, but have branched out to cover most of the international markets for golf betting. This has made them one of the leaders in golf betting online.

So if you want to bet on stroke play or match play, you will probably find something fun to bet on here. Either it is the PGA Tour or the Korn Ferry tour. During the golf betting season, it is almost a must to keep an eye on BetNow, if not for their live odds which are highly competitive.

Apart from the golf offering, they do provide a seamless service for most sports bettors. Also keeping a good number of payment providers on hand for all needs and wants, combined with a decent casino tab to keep all options open for customers.

When it comes to bonuses you are never disappointed. Their bonuses are frequent and well built for sports betting. You will find a promo code INSIDERS for a 150% bonus up to $300, and promotions geared towards golf bettors during the golf season.

What we like:

  • Strong promotions
  • Well-functioning mobile support
  • Strong odds for Golf
  • Great focus on the US market

What we don’t:

  • Their minimum bet is $10

7. Jazz Sports – a Solid 20-Year-Old Veteran for Golf Betting

Jazz Sports - a bettors dream for golf

Jazz Sports is renowned for being one of the leading sportsbooks that provide a solid service to bettors all over the world. As an oldie on the betting market since 1994 and with over 400 markets, their golf offering does not disappoint.

Whether you want to bet on the US Open or find a props bet on how Scottie Sheffler will perform, you can find it here. To be fair, many of the markets tend to be US focused but the international supply of bets is not too shoddy.

The site in itself is easy to navigate, and the option to have several different markets open in one window is a great feature. Navigation and sorting your bets is easy and intuitive, as is setting up your bets and cashing out so in all a sportsbook to bet on.

As expected of a seasoned operator, you can expect dedicated bonuses for the major sports throughout the season. Their help section as well as their direct number to customer support covers the major part of customer support, and the absence of a live chat is a bit paltry. To be fair, their response time is excellent as the majority of existing customers seem to agree, so it does not lower their overall grade that much.

What we like:

  • Reputable operator
  • Accepts crypto
  • Fast customer support
  • Deep golf markets

What we don’t:

  • Their minimum bet is $10

What Makes a Great Golf Betting App?

When we test any golf betting app there are several things that we look at. No two apps are ever the same so there must be a bit of leeway applied to each review.

If we are honest, these are areas that we look at with any sports betting app, regardless of the sport that we are concentrating on. If any of these sections score low or they are poor, then it’s likely not going to make the mark.

Trust

Before we even get into the app itself, we look to see who is operating it. Trust is the single more important factor and if we can’t trust a brand, for whatever reason, they don’t even get the time to have their betting app reviewed. There are several ways that you can assess the trust of a brand.

An easy one would be to look to see how long they have been trading. Anything that’s been up and running for 5+ years is likely doing something right. However, to only look at golf betting apps that are 5+ years old would be a massive mistake on our part as there are plenty of brands that are younger, but still trustworthy.

Licensing can play a big part in this as well. Each betting app needs to be licensed and getting a license is not an easy process. It wouldn’t be crazy to say that any golf betting app that is fully licensed can be trusted and whilst there is more to it than that, it’s a great place to start.

Ease of Use

Mobile apps are now a part of our everyday life. It’s likely that we use at least one, if not dozens, daily. They are more intuitive and easier to use than they have ever been.

Betting apps are no different from the mainstream and with this we’re looking for something where you don’t need a degree to get your way around. It’s not just about looking good, the app needs to have clear menus, ideally, a breadcrumb structure to jump back a single page, and the ability to use the app with just one hand.

Ideally, we want to see a dedicated app that you can download, but a mobile site that’s accessible via your smartphone’s browser would suffice.

Visuals

Working alongside ease of use, the best golf betting apps need to look good. They must be clean and free from clutter to allow you to see which markets you want to bet on.

Golf often has a wide range of markets to choose from, meaning that how they are presented is a key part of how the app works. Drop-down menus that can be opened and closed usually work well as this prevents excessive scrolling.

Speed

The best golf betting apps are usually lightweight. This means that there aren’t a ton of moving parts that can bog down and drastically reduce the speed of the app.

We’ve mentioned earlier about the best apps having a “clean” look to them and whilst aesthetically this helps, it also helps when it comes to speed. Moving between sports and then markets should be instant and we look for exactly this when testing.

Payments

Being able to move money about when using the app is another key attribute to making a betting app “great”. There aren’t a huge number of payment options for US-based players to choose from, especially compared to European betting apps, but there should be at least one or two that all players can access.

Golf Betting App Trust Ease of Use Visuals Speed Payments
BetOnline 9 8 6 8 8
Bovada 10 7 9 8 7
Everygame 8 9 9 8 8
MyBookie 9 8 5 8 7

Best iPhone App for Golf Betting – BetOnline

BetOnline has the best iPhone app for golf betting right now. They’ve been able to create what is almost the perfect package for users and the ability to be able to download directly from the App Store is a strong feature.

The app not only looks good but also plays the part in terms of depth. We loved that you’re able to bet on so many golfing events from around the world, including ladies and college golf in the US.

In terms of a package deal for golf bettors, you can’t improve on BetOnline right now and we highly recommend that you download it to your iPhone today.

Best Android App for Golf Betting – Bovada

Bovada is a name that needs little introduction and for our money, they’ve got the best android app for golf betting at the minute. Not only has Bovada allowed its players to download directly from the Google Play Store, but the site also works well on mobile browsers, such as Chrome and Mozilla.

The app is another that comes as a complete package and it’s probably the best-looking that we’ve tested for Android. They include a ton of events from all over the world and their pricing structure is also one of the best that we’ve tested.

Golf Betting App Features

We spoke earlier about what makes a great golf betting app and for this, we identified several areas that they need to excel in. These include things like design, ease of use, and payments.

These are generic things that need to be included for all betting apps, but you could argue that for the ultimate golf betting app, you need to get a little more specific in what separates the men from the boys.

For this next section, we wanted to look at several golf betting app features that must work to be the best. Not only are we going to give you an overview of what to expect, but also a look at which app performs well in each section.

It’s going to be hard to find a single app that excels within each area, so you need to prioritize which section is most important for you and then choose the app to recommend from that.

Golf Betting Odds

When we talk about odds, we always recommend trying to get the best price possible. This is the most incredibly obvious statement ever, but with golf betting, where you bet makes a huge difference.

The reason is that the fields that take part are massive. Unlike football for example, where you have two teams, golf has a field of over 150 most weeks, so the range in players and odds is massive.

Also, favorites are going to be priced longer than almost any other sport. A short-priced favorite would be somewhere around +1500, which is massive compared to most sports. Prices work up from that generally.

Golf Betting Apps - Get Over $5000 at the Best Golf Betting Apps

The difference between the best and the worst is often huge. It’s common to see a sportsbook have a player that is +1500 on one, but as much as +1800 on the other. When you get to guys that are even longer than this at 5000+, then the differences between prices are highlighted even more.

All the golf betting apps that we recommend on this page are strong when it comes to pricing. From best to worst, there is very little in it. However, if we were to pick one, it would be BetOnline.

They are consistently better priced than all their competitors when it comes to betting on golf and particularly strong when it comes to favorites or anyone around the top 10 picks.

Golf Betting Lines

Betting lines for golf are limited compared to most sports. All you’re getting here are money-line bets that are not part of props or what we would call specials. Spreads and totals can’t be applied to the sport that well, so it’s money line all the way.

As you would expect, all the golf betting apps that we review offer the money line market. This is where most golf bettors spend their time and it’s where we would expect to see the biggest returns.

Golf Futures Betting

Futures play a huge role in golf betting and the best golf betting apps cover them in depth. All the sites that we’ve tested so far have a good range of futures, although some are better than others.

You’re going to find that most will have the events from the main tours that they cover around a week in advance. Usually, these are released on a Monday, although some are a little later to publish, waiting to confirm who is playing in the field first.

The next futures addition is usually that of the majors. This includes the Masters, US Open, US PGA, and The Open. You generally get these up to 12 months in advance and the odds for players to win will change quite a lot between the market opening and closing as futures bet.

The best then look at events such as the Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup, and Presidents Cup. It may include The Olympics and even things like the FedEx Cup in the US or the Race to Dubai in Europe.

All betting apps cover these events quite well, but the standout is BetOnline. They are the only app that covers all the events that we’ve mentioned, plus Korn Ferry Tour events and end-of-season races.

Golf Betting Specials/Props

The specials and props section is what makes a golf betting market for us. This is where the sportsbook can get away from the standard money line “to win” bets and get creative with a ton of interesting picks.

Group betting is some of our favorites and this is where the sportsbook will pick up to three players in a theoretical match just between themselves. The score is taken from each player for the tournament and all you need to do is pick the player with the lowest score. This can be over 18/36 or 72 holes for the most part.

Golf Betting Apps - Get Over $5000 at the Best Golf Betting Apps

The range of other specials markets that you can pick from includes players to make the cut, round leaders after each day, head-to-head bets, novelty golf matches, and even celebrity golf matches.

The standout is BetOnline which simply offers a better range than the competition. The range of matchups that they include is simply incredible, with hundreds to choose from throughout a PGA Tour event alone.

Live Betting on Golf

Betting live on golf is a handy tool to have. Games and days can take a long to play and being able to jump in and out of the action make it incredibly exciting with live betting.

One of the best times to bet live is coming down the stretch on a Sunday. If you’ve 12 or so players that can still win the live betting markets will be pinging all over the place and there is usually value to be had if you’re able to bet live.

The downside to live betting is that not all sportsbooks offer it or at least, not all of them do a great job. Bovada is the best in the business for golf betting, but we wouldn’t exactly go as far as saying that they’ve smashed it.

Golf Betting Promotions

Golf betting promotions are usually some of the best. The problem is that offers specific to golf are quite rare.

What you tend to find is that promotions are only added for major tournaments, such as the Masters, US Open, US PGA, and The Open. Things like extended placed, paid-for place bets, sign-up offers, and inflated prices for specific golfers are what you’re going to find.

However, all the sportsbooks that we recommend for golf betting apps come with a welcome offer that you can claim if you register a new account. Below we’ve listed the top three betting offers for golf and explained how to claim and how they work.

Bovada – 50% Deposit Match up to $250 – Claim Now

If you decide that you want to create a new account with Bovada then you’re going to be able to claim a welcome offer worth up to $250. This promotion is based on your opening deposit and Bovada will match this sum by 50%, with a max bonus of $250.

A qualifying deposit is $10 or more and anything above this will trigger the offer. Once the bonus has been applied to your account you then need to wager through the bonus amount five times.

For example, if you claim the full $250 bonus, you will need to make $1,250 worth of bets to clear the bonus. You have 30 days to clear the bonus before it then expires.

BetOnline – 50% Deposit Match up to $1,000 – Claim Now

If you’re looking for a bigger deal, then BetOnline has about as big as you can get. It’s a 50% match, like Bovada, but this time you can claim up to $1,000 in bonus money.

The offer is again based on your first deposit and will be 50% of whatever you deposit over $10. So, to get the full bonus, you need to deposit $2,000.

Once the bonus has been applied to your account you then need to wager through this sum 10x. You have 30 days to do this before the bonus expires.

MyBookie – Up to $200 Sign up Bonus

MyBookie is also able to offer up a decent enough welcome bonus. This time it’s a 100% up to $1000 bonus over three deposits that is applied to all new accounts that use the promo code INSIDER.

The signup bonuses are credited in form of free plays. When you make your first deposit, the bonus will be credited to your free play wallet and you have 6 months before it expires.

Sportsbook Promotion Terms Claim Offer
Bovada 50% Deposit Match up to $250 Bonus needs to be wagered 5x Claim Bovada Offer
BetOnline 50% Deposit Match up to $1,000 Bonus needs to be wagered 10x in 30 days Claim BetOnline Offer
MyBookie 100% Up to $1000 Bonus $$1,000 over three deposits, 10x rollover Claim MyBookie Offer

Golf Betting Apps Comparison

We like to try and supply you with as much information as we can for each golf betting app. We’ve stated several times already that there is no single app that will suit every type of player. Some apps are stronger in certain areas than others.

We wanted to rate all the areas that we think are of the most importance for golf betting. These can apply to a wide range of sports but are tailored toward golf more than any others.

Below we’ve created a comparison table of the top three golf betting apps on the market right now. We’ve compared all aspects of each app and then rated them out of ten. Work out which areas of the app are most important to you and then use the table below to link that to an app.

Golf Betting App Odds Betting Lines Futures Specials/Props Live Betting
BetOnline 10 6 8 8 5
MyBookie 7 5 7 8 7
Bovada 8 6 8 8 9

Extra Features of the Best Golf Apps

The apps that we’ve included on this page are all strong, so trying to pick a “winner” is tough. But there are ways that golf betting apps can differentiate themselves from the pack.

Below we’ve included a couple of extra features that we like to see on golf betting apps. Not only does this add to the user experience, but it adds a lot of much-needed depth to the process as well.

Blogs

There’s lots of literature right now on golf, especially as coverage of smaller tours and the women’s game is starting to properly take off. There seem to be more golf writers than ever and with it comes more information linked to sportsbooks.

Blogs need to come from those in the industry or those highly passionate. There are hundreds of golf “tipsters” on social media platforms such as Twitter, but the majority of those need to be avoided.

You can use blogs for tips, but you need to use them along with your research as well.

Stats/Information

Stats and data for golf are huge. Since the introduction of Shot Scope back in the early 2000s, tons of data and variables are collected for each player and each round.

You can use the likes of the official PGA Tour app to help with this and see where players are strong and weak. Use this information and tie it to the course that they are playing that week. Some stats will be more relevant than others, so apply those to your picks.

Golf Betting Apps - Get Over $5000 at the Best Golf Betting Apps

For example, if you’ve got a course that is 7,800 yards long and it’s been raining, then you want players who are going to hit the ball a long way through the air. Courses that are shorter and drier will make it a more even playing field for the shorter hitters, but it might adjust skillsets in other areas, such as a short game.

Golf Betting Tips

Golf betting is a lot of fun and it allows you to win large sums of money with relatively small investments. There are few other sports where favorites may start at odds of +1500 or even higher.

Here are a few golf betting tips that should allow you to make more money when betting on golf.

Do Your Research

There is an incredible amount of data online these days of both players and courses that you simply must tap into. Some of it is free and some sites require a subscription, but you simply must use one of them to create your picks for that week.

A good starting point for your research is the course. Try and find how it’s going to be set up for that week and then what player type that might favor. You can even look at past winners/scores to see if there is a correlation there.

For example, lots of people look at The Masters and their complex greens setup and say that the players who are going to be successful are those that will putt well. There is some merit to this in that, to win the Masters you do need to putt well, but there is more emphasis on tee shots than putting.

Every single winner barring three since 2004 has been 1 or more strokes gained off the tee for the season. Of those winners, 6 were negative in strokes gained putting, and the highest amongst the field was just 0.66 (Tiger Woods in 2005).

This is where data starts to dispel a huge number of golf myths and allows punters to make much more informed picks.

Make a Stable

When you target any golf event, you’re looking at a field of 150+. This field will change from week to week and, you’re looking at hundreds of different players that you will come across before making your picks.

You simply aren’t going to have the time (or desire) to go through each player each week and see if they might be a good fit. Instead, make a stable of 10-15 players that you know like the back of your hand.

Once you’ve got this stable you can simply pick ones that will be a good fit for that week for the course that they’re playing. Of course, you can adapt where necessary and if there are players you want to add/remove you can do it regularly, but a stable makes it much easier to track and pick players that are suited for each course.

Utilize A Range of Markets

It’s very easy to get drawn into the outright winner market given the odds and potential returns. The reality is that picking a winner for golf is incredibly hard.

By moving away from this and using markets like head-to-heads and matchups, you’re going to vastly reduce your variance and stand a much better chance of making a profitable return. You can even make multiple picks and create some tasty parlay bets.

Check the Weather

You need to be aware of what is always happening with the weather as this can have a massive effect on how a tournament is played out. Rain is one of the most common variables to check, but even things like temperature changes which massively impact the distance the golf ball travels, plus fog, wind, and thunderstorms are key as well.

Tournaments in the US generally have good weather for the majority of events. They are set up to chase the summer months around the country, so it’s usually warm and dry for the most part.

If you venture to events in the UK and across Europe, the weather is much more changeable. Players who tee off at certain times of the day can have drastically different conditions to play in.

The Open is a great example of this where the weather can change within a matter of minutes. Use forecasts to see which side of the draw (if any) is going to get the favorable weather and pick players that will be suited to those conditions as a result.
